Merger Announcement - Expanded Services.

We are pleased to announce the merger of Dohner, Louis & Stephens, Inc. with Flagel, Huber, Flagel & Co., a well established regional accounting firm. Our combined firm will conduct its practice under the existing name of Flagel, Huber, Flagel & Co (FHF). Our partners and associates will be moving to FHF's Kettering headquarters when the merger becomes effective on January 1, 2012.

FHF has had a long and successful history in Southwest Ohio, with an office in Cincinnati in addition to its Kettering headquarters. Founded in 1933, they have been providing exceptional tax, audit, and consulting services to individuals and businesses in the healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, retail, wholesale distribution and not-for-profit industries. In addition, FHF is a market leader in business valuation, litigation support, fraud investigation, and computer forensics.

We are excited about this merger, as FHF shares with us a similar corporate philosophy, culture and tradition. The merger will allow us to provide a wider array of services and create efficiencies in our business that will enable us to build further on our competitive advantage as a value leader in our market. In addition, FHF is an independent member of the BDO Seidman Alliance of CPA firms. Membership in the Alliance provides expanded domestic and international coverage, greater access to technical knowledge in specialty areas, and numerous other capabilities. Our combined firm will also help us be more successful in recruiting talented new staff, and our associates will benefit from new career opportunities. With this merger, Flagel, Huber, Flagel & Co. will have 13 partners and well over 40 associates, making it one of the largest accounting firms headquartered in Dayton.

As a result of this merger, we will be able to provide new services and areas of expertise. We look forward to discussing the specifics with you personally in the upcoming months. However, we want to stress that some things will not change:

  • You will continue to work with the same professional staff with whom you have worked in the past.
  • All services available in the past will continue to be offered by FHF.
  • Our fee structure will not change.
